Distinguishing Factors and Benefits of Omega Nu Alpha Fraternity
Omega Nu Alpha began on February 4th, 2000, at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. Each chapter that becomes a part of Omega Nu Alpha will exist as an independent entity responsible for its own success.
A “National Fraternity Assembly” is held quarterly to determine the direction of the Fraternity at large. This Assembly is open to all active and alumni members in good standing with the Fraternity. Every participant has a voice in all matters.
Rules are not passed down by a small minority of alumnus members with little to no input by the actual students that make up the organization at large.
There are no minimum membership or housing requirements for a chapter to remain open.
Each chapter chooses its own business status. Some may operate as a non-profit business in the community, others may file as a for-profit organization. Some chapters will rely on their status as a student group with a host institution. Each chapter is required to obtain minimum insurance and liabilities coverage.
Omega Nu Alpha is a concept, a commonality, a framework to be applied to your local group of individuals. Omega Nu Alpha is opportunity; opportunity to take ownership of your Fraternity experience.
